ANZAC poem




I have been waiting for a long time for someone to shoot my hat on the other side,
so when they shoot my hat we can shoot them with our guns,
my shoes are getting muddy,
we need to fight,
we need to rest and we all hope we survive and came back to our family safely.

When we die we lie in the ground and above us there are a field of poppies,
remember us, remember us at flanders fields, if we don`t get rest we get weak and some might die,
Remember us, remember us, remember us, remember us.

    Hi Bella I am Zoe from Awahono School. I like how you have put a good size of your photo so that you can see it. Maybe next time you could make the words a bit bigger so I can read your writing better.

    Hi Bella, as we come up to ANZAC day this week I thought it is a good time to come back to review the poem you wrote. I really love the ending 'Remember me, remember me, remember me' it really makes me think we just need to remember what these brave men did for our freedom.

    Hi Bella, I really like your poem. I think it describes life in the trenches very well. I did find the text font you chose a bit hard to read, maybe next time you could choose a font that is a bit easier to read. Keep up the great work Bella!
